Ordering blinds online

I need new blinds in our master bedroom and bathroom. I would like a motorized set in the bathroom as the window is a pain to get to. Have any of you used Blinds.com or some other online company?

We’ve used them for years and have been very happy with them. Just got a motorized shade last month!

I got a solar shade from Select Blinds dot com last summer to go in our newly remodeled kitchen. Not motorized. I love it! Measuring and ordering was easy peasy.

We did our house with a local company for some and budget blinds for others. We liked that they came out and measured. We needed that extra touch as we were concerned we’d be off a tad in measuring.

Costco is another option. Not cheap but typically their vendors are good quality.

Haven’t used blinds.com but they are A+ with the BBB and most reviews seem solid.

Good luck.

We have motorized shades on very high windows. Ours are battery powered, and over time the batteries did corrode. We had to replace the battery packs (actually hired somebody to order them and install, when also ordering other blinds elsewhere). So that might be a factor if you plan to stay a long time.

We’ve ordered from a company called Blindsexpress. However, it was many years ago, and they were simple Levelor mini blinds (nothing motorized). No issues. Saved A LOT vs. local companies.

I just did four windows in the family room with motorized honeycombs from select blinds. They frequently have sales, and calling directly got me the best sale price from the last few weeks. The blinds have been working great. I wasn’t thrilled with the remote they provided, and the ‘smart’ device they sold was overpriced so I went with a more generic option.

I purchased hunter douglas motorized blinds online about 20 years ago when we first bought the house. The company we went through was very good when we had problems right away, but 10 years later when the motors started to die, I was unable to order parts at all.

My D used Blinds.com for long, skinny windows in her Victorian flat. They were not motorized, but she was quite pleased with the blinds and the process.

I used blindster.com for two oversized Roman shades in guest rooms (sorry, non- motorized).
The color I chose just looked awful in those rooms, even though the small sample I had looked right. They replaced them–and I only had to pay the $35 shipping charge! They did not want me return the wrong ones–just asked that I donate to a good cause. So Habitat is getting two roman shades–brand new…
