It's up. you have to log off and log back on. Can't just refresh. it's under the picture of the bruin

Wow, 101 and 102 are already full (or I can't sign up for them...).

^^really? I logged on at around 11 am and all were open.....go figure though, the earliest one I can make it to is 104 :'(

they really do fill up fast. i just signed up for the earliest one, which was 103

i know!! wtrh!@!!

omg.... f'n campers

srsly. eff em all.

all my 103 homies holla

Are you supposed to come at exactly 8 AM? What if you can only get there by 9 or so because of the flight arrival time?

you don't have to, it doesn't really start until 10 at least for last year, for the first hour or so they give you 3 surveys you have to do and then just sit around and socialize :) i got there at 8:30 due to traffic, left home at 6!!! if there is no traffic like the sunday mornings around 10 i can get to UCLA in 40 min... LA traffic sucks!!!

New Bruins here. :)

How important is attending Orientation?

it isn't mandatory, but highly recommended.

don't you want to meet new people? get used to living on campus? participate in activities? build up on your bruin spirit? :)

most importantly, don't you want to get a feel for the academics, intellectual environment, and social life? by attending lectures, participating in activities, all with your bruin class of '12?

eghhh i should have signed up earlierrr...-_-, is there anyway i can sign up for an earlier session if there is space available like if someone drops lata?

call them and say youre going on an extended vacation and that you need an earlier session.

I am an exchange student from NZ. I will be at UCLA for the fall quarter 2008 as a 2nd year student but it will be my first quarter at UCLA. Should i sign up for orientation?

Thanks

James

no, I do want to. But it's going to be expensive, and very difficult.
I'm thinking about making one trip when I'll just be moving to LA, and that's all.

Pls tell me what I can do to make up for missing the orientation. I dont want to be left behind.

Orientation is NOT worth the hassle of traveling from NZ. What you'll need to do is go to Schedule of Classes Home Page and familiarize yourself with this site. Same with http://www.ursa.ucla.edu Learn how to find classes and enroll in them.

In the next few weeks there's going to be a lot of threads about fall schedules from incoming freshmen. Pay attention to those to get a feel for a what a decent first quarter should look like. Definitely pay attention to prerequisites and what types of classes you'll need for your major: UCLA General Catalog 2007-08: Curricula and Courses

There's a link to the Class Planner on the left module of the My.UCLA home page. Make best friends with it.

Oh great. Thank you very much. I'll do that.

Is it allowed to check out before 6 PM?
