Im somewhat confused as to what exactly we do at orientation. All I really know is that we pick classes, but that cant take all day. Can someone who has been fill me in please?

I just got back from orientation with my daughter. Essentially you get to meet with your intended major departments, housing officials, activities and student life representatives. There is a fair with a bunch of organizations participating as well.

You'll have your photo taken for your ID card and register for classes.

The parents attend as well; we had a nice tour of our daughter's college (Porter) and various presentations by security, housing, financial aid, etc.

There is also a 20% discount on the Core course books in the bookstore.

Oh yeah... we were there during the strike, so we had to run through the picket line on the way in. :-)

that pretty much covers it...you dont get your id till september. You get advice from your college advisors. However...
Thats a lie we didnt have to run through the picket line. we drove through it, no biggie...

(Barleyman's my daddy btw)
