AP Calculus AB
I am practicing free response and the derivations and integrals are a bit tedious. I feel like there's a calculator shortcut I'm missing.
Help!
How should I use a graphing calculator to aid me during the exam?
Can I derive or integrate with this thing?
(I'm familiar with algebraic functions and graphing)

if you have an 83 or above you should be able to calculate the integral by entering the function into your y value hitting 2ND and then CALC which will brig up options ranging from finding zero’s, to points of intersection, and the definite intergral calculator which for me his number 7.

A little confusing I know, but why didn’t you go over this in your Calc class?

It’s easier to do with an 89. You just click the green diamond button and look at the number keys…you should see an integral sign or a dx for derivative. You click that, plug in the equation in the field…like so.

dx(x^2+3x-2, x, 1)

That means you’re finding the derivative for x^2+3x-2 in terms of x, and the 1 stands for first derivative. If you wanted the second or third derivative, you’d put a 2 or 3 instead.
