Out of State?

<p>I know there are a lot of these posts but i am getting very anxious. I've visited the campus several times have many family members in the san fran area. I want to double major with Biology and English. I wanted to know If I have a good chance of getting in. Also, I am certain I am applying to medical school, any advice or comments of the pre-med program.</p>

<p>You have a good shot of acceptance. But, if med school is your goal, stay home and attend Clemson or USC. The competition at Cal is brutal, and you could be a star at your instate Uni.</p>

<p>btw: the UCs are mighty pricey for OOS students -- Cal is $45k/yr.</p>

<p>Don't do MCB or even MB actually (a large amount of MB courses come out of MCB). It will kill your GPA. It is the hardest bio major, excluding chem bio in CoChem. Do any other biology major (IB, Plant Bio, BioE, MEB, ES, NutriSci, MolTox, etc.).</p>
