Outdoor Action/Community Action

Hello guys, I just registered for International Preorientation starting on the 30th of August and I really really want to partake in the Outdoor Action Program. However, I live in Europe and I suppose it will take a lot of time for the letter with my NetID and temporary password to reach me. Is it possible for the OA list to fill up until I am able to log in and reserve a spot?

Is there any chance that I will be e-mailed the NetID?

Thank you.

Letter arrived here for my son yesterday. I don’t know what your delay time is for Intl. The letter does state first come, first served on signing up. I don’t know if you could call to get your netid or if you have to wait.

My guess is they know Intl students have a delay and they have a way to work things out for you. They also do a waitlist for spots.

Good luck and I hope your mail arrives soon!

The OA list, if it even fills up, probably won’t do so until near the end of the application period.

I surely hope so, fightthetide11. But I am still a little worried because according to princeton’s website, all the documents regarding medical insurance were mailed in mid-May and since I still haven’t received those forms, it could mean that international mail from Princeton could need as much as 3 weeks to get to me.

Call or email Princeton explaining the issue. They’re usually very accommodative when they hear about these sort of things.

Where on the website does it say they mailed their medical insurance forms in Mid-May, boogaloony? I haven’t received anything either… :P

I can’t remember where but I am sure I read somewhere that it was mid-May. The deadline for returning the Health Plan forms is 15th of June so mid-May seems like a plausible date for them to send us all the information about health insurances and everything.

Nope, no health forms here either. I would have to go back and re-read the OA stuff but I believe it said something about accessing the health forms online.

Hi everyone!
I just want to give you all a heads-up about the health forms and other matriculation forms you have to fill out.

I actually stumbled across the forms today online by myself. They can be found here: [Matriculation Online Now Live -*Welcome Tigers](http://www.princeton.edu/welcometigers/announcements/archive/?id=5303)

edit: now for some reason I can’t access the page anymore. It was fine a couple minutes ago.

They appear to work sporadically. Weird. :P

Just to put your mind at ease, I’m pretty sure OA slots aren’t actually fixed at any given number and that everyone who signs up for OA will get to go. The only thing that can change is that they run out of trips for a certain difficulty level (I signed up for a level 3 and ended up on arguably the toughest trip available) so you may end up on an easier or more difficult trip than what you signed up for.

Most of your mail from Pton (ie welcome letters and brochures) will be mailed via first class mail which takes at least 2 weeks for a lot of countries. In my year, if memory serves me correct, you can ask for the matriculation book of cut-outs and your I-20 forms to be sent via FedEX.

If you’re smart enough to get into Princeton, you’re not going to have your admission rescinded for a late form or two. Many generations of International students before you have also fretted over forms, visas and the mess that is JFK Airport.

You are all part of the cult of Princeton now. That means the university will do everything to ensure your next 4 years and beyond will go as smoothly as possible (unless its related to underage drinking).

I suppose I’ll be interviewing some of you for jobs latter down the track. Stop fretting- the next 4 years are going to be a blast.
