Outdoorsy Colleges for Economics, Philosophy, and others?

I guess I’ll keep it short and sweet but I’m mainly looking for LACs or medium sized Universities that have a reputation for easy access to the outdoors or at least a granola, outdoorsy community. I’m interested in Economics as a social science, not as a business discipline—which I think too many people view it as. I am also interested in other subjects ranging from Environmental studies to philosophy to sociology to art history. I’m assuming I would find the widest range of curriculum at an LAC but let me know if there are universities with similar attitudes towards education. Mostly interested in hearing if any sort of school align with this criteria.

Stats/ECs:
3.97
4.31
Unsure on test scores maybe 1350-1450 if I grind
5 AP by graduation (2 this year)
10 Honors by graduation
NHS
German NHS
NHS tutor
Church Volunteer
Track for 3 years
Jobs since sophomore year
(How high can these stats get me in terms of prestige, just curious?)

If, as it appears, you consider strength in economics as an essential criterion, you can start with an analysis such as this:

Thanks, this list is pretty helpful.

Bump?

Are you open to any part of the country or are you limited to certain geographic areas?

Middlebury. They offer an environmental studies major with a focus in economics. Check Naviance, if your school uses that service, or the Fiske Guide to Colleges (available at the library) for colleges that overlap with Midd. My outdoorsy kid also considered Williams and Bowdoin. Increasing your SAT score to 1450 will help your odds at these selective LACs.

Open to anywhere. Skeptical of the South because of the culture and skeptical of the Midwest because it seems like there’s nothing to do (besides partying) because its all flat. Still open to anywhere for now though.
