What programs have students that are currently struggling to take the required classes to be a comp sci major? Cal Poly SLO? Swarthmore? Northwestern? (Assuming they were accepted into the major or the college accepts everyone without a specific major.)
I heard Berkeley’s CS is pretty brutal, but this is coming from a friend and not from my own personal experience.
Two schools of thought, limit with hard and fast number, or allow unlimited students in major, but popular classes fill and required classes may have no seats first day of class. Neither is great, but this is a popular major. Best bet, go to a school with non competitve admissions where lots of students will not pass the early courses, and the herd thins.
