I was wondering if anybody else stayed overnight/is scheduling an overnight stay at GW? I e-mailed and got a response a month ago. They said they would contact me at the end of December/beginning of Jan. and haven't. So...if you called for an overnight too, did this happen?

And if you stayed overnight, how did you like it?

I would call back (202-994-6002, the direct line to the Visitors' Center) and ask to leave a message for the person in charge of the overnight program. The end of December/beginning of January is actually the time frame for our winter break. Following-up is the key to nailing down an appointment.

I stayed overnight in November of 2006.. But i knew a friend, a freshman, staying in Thurston (GW Freshman dorm). I liked it a lot, the kids were nice, and the rooms weren't too bad.

Thurston seemed to be the wildest of the Fresh. dorms. So idk what the others are like

It is January, so the admissions office is swamped. Calling the visitor's center is good advice. Will this be your first visit to GWU? I would suggest the free trolley ride through DC. Not only is it a great opportunity to see the city (again for free!) but you can have a great conversation with a current GWU student.

Thanks everyone. I've visited already and hear my decision tomorrow so if I (somehow, fingers crossed) get in, I will try and call again to schedule an overnight.
