I’ve rewatched that last play a few times on YouTube now.

That was an awesome game. I think I high-fived 50 people in the stadium after the kick was blocked.

The best part is that now I get to gloat when I see my Purdue-alumni relatives over Christmas.

My first Rice football game wasa fantastic experience, but I couldn’t believe there were only about 200 kids in the student section at the end. I mean, come on, we were beating Purdue. On a blocked field goal. What more does the team need to do?

I think a large factor in the lack of attendance is that they have 1PM kickoffs in 95 degree heat.

3:30 kickoffs would be kind to the student body. There were more people at many basketball games last year than the 2nd half of the Purdue game.

That said, I was in the front row and rushed the field. Pretty great experience.

The kickoff was at 2:30. Also, this is a televised game on CBS Sports, so the time was likely set by them.

Either way, the student section isn’t huge even for night games.

I didn’t go because I am still getting over a cold. Slept most of the day >_>

I heard someone saying the field goal block made ESPN’s top 10 plays. Epic.

Anyone have a link?
