Oxford College and Emory College

Can someone please explain the difference between Oxford and Emory college? Also, does Oxford College really have EA, but Emory college only has ED? Thanks.

If you do a search you will come up with a lot more information.

Oxford College is run as a separate program that than Emory College. Your complete your first two years at Oxford, but then transfer to Emory College, Goizueta Business School, or the Nursing Program.

You graduate with everyone else and receive an Emory University diploma. It’s basically a back door into the University.

OTOH, the school is located far from campus and is much smaller.

Though it is technically true, I honestly do dislike it when people describe Oxford as a “back door” into Emory. I visited the place myself, and I absolutely fell in love with it. It really has to do with the type of student you are. I’ve been sending emails actually to one of the people at Oxford, and this was my last email to her. It describes both my experience at Emory and Oxford:

Oh, and burnedout21, it is true that Emory has ED and Oxford has EA.

Some students prefer Oxford over Emory, and choose the former over the latter. Two of my children applied to Oxford only as they deliberate sought the combined program. One of them attended and had a very positive experience at Oxford, and is glad that he made that choice. He actually found Oxford more challenging than Emory. His grades were higher at Emory than they were at Oxford for whatever reason.
