Oxford decreases chances at Emory?

Does applying/getting accepted to Oxford decrease your chance at Emory?

I'm worried because while I really really like Emory, I've decided I couldn't deal with Oxford for two years.

So whats the deal? Are they independent?

I just got accepted to Oxford and am now anxiously awaiting Emory's decision. Anyone figure what my chances are? What percent of people get into Emory after getting into Oxford?

Thanks

I am pretty sure it is independent. I don’t think they know or care if you apply to both.

I personally like the idea of living in two different cities, but i guess if you hate the feeling of living in a small city, Oxford is not for you!!

I agree with madirocks. The two are totally different and have different admission processes. This is why you had to send your transcript, scores, etc… to the TWO colleges. They don’t converse on who they’ve accepted.

im accepted at oxford too but hvn’t fr. emory :frowning:
stratocaster do you apply to anywhere else?
im deciding whether i should go emory or not
