Oxford, London School of Econ, University College London

Hi,

I'm an American that is planning to do my undergrad in the UK.

I'm wondering what the iBanking prospects back home would be like with degrees from each of the following universities:

Oxford University
University College London
London School of Economics

Are ANY of these schools considered targets?

Thanks!

None of these schools are targets. Oxford is as renowned as the Ivies, but NYC BB don’t recruit there. You would have to submit applications online, which would most likely never even be reviewed.

Banks based in London will recruit there.

Really depends where you want to work - If you’re Singaporean, HK, Malaysia, British degrees are very valuable, especially the three you mentioned above.

So how would a degree from, say, UCL, fare in getting a front-office role at a top investment bank in Hong Kong?
