Hey there!
I want to apply to Oxford’s CS undergrad department and I saw that the requirements are A*AA. I’m from Romania, took my national exam and got AAA.
If I’m not mistaken, I can take A-levels or another international exam and I can improve my grades (ex: SAT). Is there any chance that I can do this and have a better shot at Oxford?
Just trying to establish your situation. Have you already graduated the equivalent of high school/secondary school with a 9 average but less than 9.5 in maths or CS?
The AAA with the A in maths or CS is what they ask for from students with A levels, but the foregoing seems to be the Romanian equivalent. Are you in a position to take A levels, or retake your Romanian qualification, next year? You might like to look at slightly less demanding options instead.

You can apply with other qualifications, so you could apply with US qualifications SAT or ACT + 3 relevant tests.
Remember that you have to report all your scores, so the admissions tutors will see that you didn’t get the 9.5 in maths. And, you still have to sit the MAT.
I know about the MAT. Just wanted to know if I can apply with other qualifications and show that I can improve.
Does the Romanian national exam have an A* grade?
Theoretically, the range between 9.5 - 10 would be considered A* and 9 is considered A.
