i mailed out my application yesterday but i woke up this morning will a funny feeling that i forgot to include my bragsheet. i'm not sure if i included it or not. i mgiht of since i made enough copies... i'm mailing out the optional reference today so i'm wondering if i should include my brag sheet to make sure they get it...but would they be upset if they receive it twice? and could i include it with the reference when technically the person writing it should be mailing it out? please help!

Just mail it out and stop panicking. Them having two copies of a brag sheet won't throw you into the auto-reject pile :)

It's fine sending it with your optional rec. If you feel like it, put it in a separate envelope and mail the brag sheet by itself.

alright, thanks schwaby. :) i definitely should mail it to ease my mind.

is it bad to send a long really detailed brag sheet, or do they just want a less detailed but still detailed sheet

how long is "long"? mine was 3 pages (pretty spaced-out, though). I wouldn't anything too much longer than that....

well mine is exactly one page with frikken small type and close line spacing cuz one of my other schools wanted it that way, but normal spacing will give about 1.8 pages or so....should i send a cover letter with or something?

I didn't send a cover letter---they get plenty of "brag sheets," so they'll know what it is. 1.8 pages is definitely not too long---just be sure and make it readable. Better 2 readable pages than 1 page with tiny font....

cool thanks....but how will they know it belongs with my application, cuz i sent my app in already.

Attach your name, address, school, and SSN to the bragsheet.

whats a brag sheet?

A list detailing your awards, extracurricular activities, etc.

And I never sent one in :)

dont u list that on the application tho?

Yeah, but Princeton's own app has pretty limited space for the EC's/awards. If you need to add more than what you can fit on the app, you can send a bragsheet. Or you can do what I did, which is to use the common app (which gives you a lot of space for the list of awards).

yea i used common app

I didn't send a brag sheet...oh well. :)

Do adcoms even have the time to read all of them?

Maybe not during early decision...but with four months for regular decision...probably.

If you aren't sending it in with your normal application, put your name birthdate SSN or similar stuff, to help them locate your 'file'

So you can keep sending additional stuff in seperate envelopes? interesting...

But they have more than 5x the number of applicants and less than 4x the amount of time...
