<p>Do you prefer one or the other? or do colleges prefer one or the other? I've heard that colleges slightly prefer the online one because it's easier to organize and whatnot. How bout you?</p>
<p>Online is much easier, IMO.
Most colleges seem to prefer online, and some will even waive application fees if you apply online.</p>
<p>paper apps are a huge pain for colleges. Online apps are so, so, so much easier for them.</p>

<p>Technology is beginning to take over the application process - some schools actually REQUIRE on-line applications - no more paper - and for other schools - the on-line app may be free too. </p>
<p>Better check with every school you intend to apply to as to their preferences and cost of application - either way - paper vs on-line.</p>
<p>Another thing to consider also is - some schools prefer/require the Common App - so check on that as well.</p>
