Parent migration status?

<p>I am a US citizen and upcoming senior and am currently filling out an application that can possibly give four-year scholarships to some of the best schools in the country. As I am filling out my parents information, it asks for my parents current migratory status. Would my answer to this question affect me or is there any way the organization can use my answer against me or my family? </p>
