Hi so I have a parent that works at Boston College, a pretty selective private university… I didn’t do too well in high school and wasn’t really confident in my grades to actually get admitted into the university regardless of having a parent that works there so I’m currently attending a different university for my freshman year with the intent to transfer into BC. I did really good first semester earning a 3.6 GPA, making my school’s dean list and joined a club to buff up my application a little bit too. BC’s website states that the average GPA of most admitted transfers is a 3.6 as well. I know for fact that my application goes under a separate pile for having a parent that works there after having called admissions… sounds pretty good but I’m still very anxious due to my poor high school performance so I don’t really know what to expect. What do you guys think?
Meet with an admissions counselor, express interest, use any connections your parent may have and keep up the good work.
Looking good. Keep up the good work
