Interesting point Mini, I was looking at it through the opposite end of the binoculars. Yes, I do agree that these days there are less corporate leaders from the mainline east coast schools like the Ivy League. While many of my friends went to prep school and then on to eastern schools, their children are not for the most part going to prep school and not for the most part going to their parents' alma maters. If they become captains of industry their resumes will reflect that. The whole women in industry issue is another sticky wicket right up their with diversity. Strong women are still perceived as "agressive" while strong men are not perceived as such which I think creates a huge stumbling block to the top. The ones who are not agressive either don't make it or top out at VP level or if they do move up are perceived as "tokens" to meet diversity needs.
