I’m applying to a number of schools, and my parents and a couple of other adults have offered to edit my essays for me. I’m grateful for the help, but I’m worried that my essays will eventually become so edited down that they’ll lose my voice amidst all the suggestions. How do I know how much help is too much?

Difficult to assess how much help is too much. If concerned, then limit edits to spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
