Parents pay for good grades?

Just curious, do any of you get money for getting good grades? :D Does it work out well for you?

No, but I get beaten for not getting good grades.

Pfft I wish my parents paid me for getting good grades.

Rather, they get off my ass and allow me some breathing room and a social life. So there’s a plus.

I think it’s REALLY dumb that parents pay kids for their grades.

Haha I wish  They’re not too concerned either way, which I respect.

My parents rarely saw my report card.

They keep telling me that they’ll pay my tuition if I keep above a 3.5 in college.
They don’t pay a cent for my tuition though >.<

^ How do you pay for your tuition? Just out of curiosity.

^ Scholarships and financial aid.

Nope.

10char

Same as Romani, I don’t know how many report cards my parents have seen of mine, but not many. My parents should be paying for tuition in the fall though.

I start getting 888 a month when I turn 16 until I graduate high school, should be enough for good grades right?

Not me.

My parents tried to bribe my brothers into getting “good grades”…

No, I think that’s an incredibly stupid idea. It wouldn’t work with me anyway.

My parents always try to pay me to teach my brother, babysit him, etc, but I always just do it for free. I’m so unmotivated by money.

I don’t expect any money from my parents. Getting good grades is for my own personal benefit.

That sounds a little silly, but I guess if you need to be motivated then they could do it.
I mean, your grades are for your future, and your benefit.
In the real world, nobody will reward you for trying your best and consistant work.
So the answer is no, to me. Although in elementary school, my mom had this system where if I worked well and tried my best until say, the end of the month, I got something I really wanted eg. Barbie doll’s house.

For good grades (95+), I get a “meh, do better in history”.

For bad grades (80-90), I get a kick and a two-hour lecture.

For really bad grades, my parents threaten to sell my piano.

Well when I was younger, my mom would give my siblings and I money for getting straight As.
