Parsons student to transfer

I'm currently studying at Parsons as a first year foundation student. I got accepted for Photography, but the summer before attending Parsons I realized that I wanted to pursue a Film and Television major. I had applied to NYU's Tisch last year for Film and was rejected and applied to other schools as a Photo major. Now, I'm thinking about transferring to another school for fall 2014 in hopes of pursuing a Film major or something closely related to film production.

Right now, I'm developing a list. The schools include Pratt (got in last year for photography), School of Visual Arts, Loyola Marymount University, MICA, Boston University, and perhaps reapplying to NYU's Tisch. I am also considering what Parsons/the New School already offers, which involves doing a dual degree at Eugene Lang and Parsons. The majors will be Culture and Media Studies and Photography OR their new major Art, Media, and Technology (I'm worried their Photo program is mostly fashion, a field I'm not interested in pursuing).

Could anyone provide feedback? I know Loyola, BU, and Tisch are already excellent film schools, but I also know you don't need a film degree to get a career in film (plus, I'm considering doing a MFA in Film).

I'm ultimately wanting to know more about what MICA, Pratt, and SVA are like when it comes to Film and feedback on my idea of kind of pursuing a Film degree within what the New School offers. Thanks!
