In the summer quarter in 2020, I put one of my classes in CC as a pass/fail grading system and ended the class with a pass. However, I realized that this was a mistake since I’m applying as a Math major and the class was a major requirement. I am currently in the process of reversing this grade to a letter grade, but I already applied to the UCs, listing the class as a pass. If my request to reverse the grade does not go through, would I be completely screwed in the UCs? If my request does go through, how would I change my grade in the application after submission?
I’m a parent of a math major who is a UC student (freshman admit) but had lots of dual-enrollment credits. I thought you could go into the UC application portal and “make changes”, but I could be wrong. There may be a contact listed in the portal and you can note that one of your grades was entered in error. I also know it took FOREVER for the CC transcripts to go through, so you have time on the CC end of things. Another suggestion is to contact the math department directly or reach out to the transfer department at the UC(s) that you applied for. I know math is very competitive and you don’t want to lose a potential spot. If you were in UC-TAG (transfer admission guarantee), there may be some resources there for you too. Good luck!
