I’ve heard that phys Ed at my high school is not a guaranteed A+ (its an academic course). How bad will it look if I pass-fail something like Gym and Health? Also, my schedule as a sophomore isn’t the easiest, so I’ve opted to take Study Hall for one quarter (because all of the other quarter electives are academic and unappealing). I still have the opportunity to change my schedule, so what should I do?
If the school allows you to take Phys Ed P/F, then colleges will not care. My guess is that many, if not most, high schools grade physical ed P/F. Regardless, as long as you don’t fail gym, colleges don’t care.
As far as the study hall, it really depends upon what other classes you are taking that quarter. If you have all the core subjects covered, as well as any graduation requirements, it might be OK.
Colleges don’t care about phys Ed and don’t include it in their GPA so take it P/F.
What would the quarter with the study hall look like, and what would the others look like?
Our high school grades in gym but the grade doesn’t count towards gpa nor is it even listed as a class on the transcript. We don’t have the option to take any class as pass/fail in our high school nor do we offer quarterly classes so not sure how that works.
