<p>Its the same general process as med schools, in that you have to take science pre-req classes, take an aptitude test (the DAT - Dental Admisisons Test), shadow a dentist or otherwise show interest and familiarity with dentistry, do community service, research, etc.</p>
<p>Can't tell you much more than that since I'm doing the med school version, but hopefully someone else will be along to give you more detail.</p>
<p>I have heard that it is easier to become a dentist than to become a "real" doctor (a pediatrician, for example) Is there any truth to this?</p>
