Pave Vanderbilt Summer 2013

I want to do PAVE, I have a 4.0 GPA and got a 30 ACT sophomore year, but I don’t think we can afford it :(. But I hope you all have a great time and learn a lot!

I think there is some financial aid if you talk to him, you should try!

i want everyone whose going to join the facebook group!!

^^^ search PAVE program 2013, the group is open right now

Yeah I changed it to open so that people could join without me having to deal with it

I did PAVE last summer and am now going to attend Vanderbilt in the fall of 2013. The program makes an official Facebook page around May and they add people themselves. If you have any questions, feel free to ask away

What did you do on week nights and weekend nights???

Finished all my academic work early with all my friends and then basically did whatever we wanted to do like going out to the city, chilling with everyone else, etc. People partied if they wanted to and went on “walks” with the opposite gender. There’s really an unlimited amount of things to do; you will never be bored.

What about the classes? What classes do we take and do we get to choose? And r they long and boring or are they interesting?

Is there usually an equal amount of guys and girls?

There are 100 guys and 100 girls. They make it a 50/50 split. As for classes, everyone is required to take a physics/math class and a computer class during the day. There are like 3 labs to choose from every 2 weeks. Stuff like mechanical engineering, biology, biomedical, physics, chemistry, environmental engineering, business management, etc. They grade stuff based on check plus, check, check minus system. Grades really don’t matter at all unless you just dont do the work. There’s a midterm and a final which dont matter either. The director of the program writes everyone a letter of rec if they request.

It was honestly the best experience of my life. The worst part of the program was leaving, and I bawled my eyes out. You’re free to do whatever you want and it’s a perfect simulation of college life. You’ll meet so many new people and make friendships that will last forever. I still visit friends from PAVE. It’s basically the only reason I’m going to attend Vandy next year, too

There’s no like rules about guys and girls right? Because that’s annoying and just irritating .-.

Thanks for the info PersianDad. And I still couldn’t find the page, so I sent you a message Peacocks.

About how much is the total cost? I want to go really bad …

It’s supposed to be like a total of about $6500 if you live residential and a LOT less if you commute.

Haha I have recieved a message. Just go add me on Facebook

I haven’t recieved a message***

PersianDad, what are the check plus, check, check minus based on? I.E. a check plus would be an A or B?

Does PAVE offer volunteer opportunities, and is it better to commute or live on campus?
