Paying full for NU... worth it?

I've read more than a handful of comments on the interwebs by alumni or current students saying to save the money and go to state school or something similar. Is there anything distinctive about NU that's really worth the money? The school is well-known, with reputation and all, but is that a good reason to empty the wallet?

After four years, the bill adds up to over $220,000 if you go by the estimated fees.

It’s all relative to how much $220k represents given your particular financial situation. If your family planned on spending that and made sure it was there when it is needed, then it is certainly worth it.

Why is it worth it?

Depends…what are the alternatives and for what fields of interest?
