Fortunately, for now, we haven’t had supply issues getting albuterol inhalers, which is what many patients use at home. It’s the quick rescue inhaler/puffer when folks are having breathing problems.
With my long Covid issues, I have used a zillion little plastic vials of liquid albuterol for the nebulizer. At discharge from the hospital I was prescribed three boxes with 30 vials each. Hopefully that will be enough for me!

You can ask your MD to order you an albuterol inhaler AND a spacer, so you can give it a try. You can ask pharmacy to instruct you on use of inhaler and spacer.
I have both.
