So I submitted my applications at the very last minute, no particular reason for doing so really- I had finished well beforehand, I just tend to have attachment issues. I submitted my application to Columbia on 1/1/16 11:16 PM ET and the writing supplement at 11:34 PM ET. I submitted the common app to Princeton on 1/1/16 11:42 PM ET and the writing supplement at 11:54 PM ET. On the common app it says that it was submitted on 1/1/16 ET but when I open the PDFs for the applications and writing supplements they say that I submitted them on 1/2/16!!! I was in Toronto while submitting but I didn’t think it would make a difference since it still follows eastern time, which is when the east coast schools want them. Why in the world would it say a different date on the PDFs??? Will admissions officers see the actual time I submitted them and know I didn’t actually miss the deadline??? If not, do you guys recommend that I contact the admissions office?
They’ll know you enjoy submitting things at the last second.
In truth I doubt you should contact them, certain colleges are lenient regarding deadlines as long as it is a reasonable sort of lateness.
