peace corps

anybody going to do this?

I'd love to, but I don't know when. Are you planning to do it between high school and college? middle of college? after college?

I sort of want to. Also said I wanted to go to war. But I'm really romantic so I think I just want to be an army doctor, if there is such a thing. If I do join the Peace Corps, I think it'll be after medical school, but then I might want some experience first. Perhaps during medical school because I may end up putting if off if I consider joining it after med school.

You have to wait until after college to do it. When I get out of the Navy and my kids are grown then I'm defiently going to do it.

It's required to have a college degree into to do Peace Corps.

If you're looking for something to do during a gap year that is volunteer based, try the Ameri Corps.

HAHAH. no its not. you need a high school degree. you can go before college. and, you have to be 18. nothing more.

I LOVE YOU IVY. DON'T KILL ME!!!

oh. i want to do the peace corps too.

after college. i want to stay in the states for more than a year....

Although you technically don't need an advanced degree, you're much more likely to be accepted with one (or a lot of relevant experience). Also be aware that PC volunteers commit to 27 months of training & volunteer time. Not simply a gap year.

I almost applied and you just have to be an 18 year old high school graduate. But going to college first wouldn't hurt.

i'm planning to do it after i graduate from college and before going to business school. or perhaps i should go after business school. i know i want to do it, but don't know when.

The website says like 90+ percent have college degrees, and most of the rest have extensive life experience. So, it's probably ok to say you need a college degree.
