Because the SAT deducts 1/4 a point from your score for an incorrect answer, I'm not sure what I should do when facing a question I don't 100% know the answer to. My friend has told me that if I truly have no clue and don't known any of the answer choices then I should leave it blank so I don't face the risk of getting points deducted. But when I face a question where I'm deciding between two different answers, should I go for it? My friend says it's a 50/50 chance but I'm a bit nervous with the point deducting thing.

If you can narrow down choices at all, its best to answer it.
