Definitely will be apply ED, though I’m not sure which colleges I can apply to at Penn. What happens if you are undecided when you enter as a freshman?

You should probably apply to CAS then.

does anyone know when we can start writing our common app and Penn supplements??

The common app comes out on July 1. The Penn supplement will be available on the admissions website sometime in August or late July and will be available on the common app in late August/early September. It’s a good idea to complete the common app first, fill out the information, and then start the essays. From my experience the supplements are what takes up the most of the time. They can have anywhere from just a few questions to three different essays. Submit what you feel is your best work, but at the same time try to stick to your schedule so that you can submit the complete application at least a few days before it’s due. If you wait until the last minute, the common app could malfunction, and your application may not get there in time. This has actually happened to many people. Also, if you are applying early to Penn, you may have a greater chance of getting an interview the earlier you send in your application, although it also depends on who is available to do an interview in your region.

I really want to go here! Right now it’s my first choice and I’m still trying to decide if I should do Early Decision or not.
Poeme where did you get the dates from? I’ve been looking around on the penn website for like two weeks

I don’t remember ever being given specific dates, but if you check the admissions website every so often it should pop up around that time. The common app does come out on July, or at least it did last year. You don’t have to spend your whole summer on essays, but it’s always good to start a few and/or brainstorm.
h4ileyst4r, if you think that Penn is your absolute first choice and that you would choose it over any school, I would definitely apply early decision. If financial aid is a big concern though, you may want to talk with admissions first. However, from what I have heard, it seems that when you apply for financial aid you are bound only after you accept your package (although you still cannot compare with other schools). Definitely verify this with admissions though because I could be wrong.

CommonApp is coming out one month later this year.

“02/01/2010 2010-11 Common App Launching 8/1/10
The 2010-11 Common App Online will go live on August 1, 2010, one month later than in past years. The Board of Directors approved this change in our admission cycle to enable secondary schools that close in June to use the Online School Forms System to submit their Final Reports through mid-July.”

Wharton ED for me, possibly Huntsman?

I’m applying to CAS possibly ED but most likely RD

I’m applying to CAS, possibly ED.

Penn was never really on my radar before, but recently it’s been growing on me. I like the campus a lot (which is weird because nobody else seems to) and I like the environmental policy concentration of the environmental studies major. I think my infatuation with Stanford has transferred to Penn and Brown, as I have little interest in applying to that school as of right now.

I will be rejected from wharton next year =P

Ok hopefully not as I want to go but damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn it’s hard to get itnto.

ED to an interdisciplinary.

^ I’m assuming you’re referring to a dual degree program. Which one are you interested in?
