Penn app: online vs. paper and FORM 1A

The online app is still not up but I have the paper one sitting in my room. I was told by a lady in the admissions office to either stick to the online or paper version of the application. Now that I've been waiting since "After Labor Day 2008," should I just send in the Form 1A on paper and do the paper app (to get a better chance of having an interview) or continue to wait for the online app. Does Penn prefer one over the other?

Also, does anyone know when the online app will be up?

i called them 4pm today, and he said either end of this week (i'm guessing saturday) or the beginning of next week (monday).

that's a really good question... i've been waiting for the online penn app too, but i already gave my teachers the counselors the paper recommendation forms and the secondary school report... that's ok right?

I did the same jadore, I don't think it's possible to do recs online for Penn

So if we are applying via common app, do we still need to send out the form 1A by paper?

i was wondering the same thing too about the common app.

We've also been wondering if the UPenn form 1A is required if using the Common Application. Did anyone receive an answer to this question?
