Penn Application

When applying to Penn, do you need to file separate applications for Wharton and CAS or you just need to indicate preferences for Wharton and CAS on the same application?

Also, can you dual major in Econ and Finance at Wharton or CAS?

You specicfiy one or the other school on your Penn application, or one of the coordinated dual-degree programs (i.e., Huntsman or Vagelos LSM). You can’t specify them simply as alternatives for each other in some sort of ranked order. However, you CAN specify one of the two schools as your fallback choice if you apply but are not admitted to one of the named coordinated dual-degree programs. And if you were to pursue uncoordinated dual degrees from Wharton and CAS (by being accepted to one and seeking dual-degree admission to the other after you start at Penn), you COULD major in Econ in CAS and concentrate (no majoring in Wharton) in Finance in Wharton.
