So my Penn Interviewer, a middle aged woman, just asked to be my friend on Facebook. Interesting.

have you already met her yet?
um, accept her, if theres nothing creepy on your profile haha

Um WOW that's awkward because you don't want to reject her and make her mad...I would just give her my limited profile.

I dunno, that would come across as insincere and she's def not stupid, so she's gonna kno that u're hiding something... best thing is just to play ur cards openly and hope that she doesn't find out anything bad about u... I tell u guys: facebook steals ur live and ur admissions chances at top schools, ^^

most likely, if she is on facebook, she's probably reading this right now...

Can she see how many friends you have? If your privacy settings prevent her from seeing the number of friends you have, tell her that your facebook is a very private thing and that you don't know her well enough to feel comfortable to friend her. If she can see your friends and sees that half your school is your "friend" then that plan doesn't work. I would go for the limited profile at that point, but now I see why there are problems with making facebook open to everyone instead of just students.

TDeucez, haha that's what I thought too

accept her.
if she's on facebook she's probably quite open-minded and wont tell the adcoms about the "WOW I'VE HEARD YOU DRANK 15 TEQUILLAS YESTERDAY!!!" post on your wall ;p

Just don't be dumb on your facebook... call me paranoid but I keep my facebook VERY clean....

So clean it up, fast. Delete incriminating wall posts if you have any, un-tag yourself/remove bad pictures, and monitor it carefully over the next week or two.

..just avoid accepting or declining her until you find out about your admission decision lol

This is a very weird situation. I would first do what aaron12345 said. Delete anything incriminating. Then I personally say you should accept her. Chances are she has already mailed Penn her evaluation of you, so it's really not a problem.

OP, where do you go to school (I live near Bethesda)

this is why you adjust your privacy settings, so that only people in high school networks can search for you

you might lose out on some college friends but i'm pretty sure college students aren't too interested in acquiring high schooler facebook friends anyway lol
