So here is my story:
I graduated from Girls High back in 2003. I did pretty well, AP classes, ok SAT score 3.9 GPA. I wasn't able to attend college because of my legal status. I was (still am sort of) undocumented. I didn't qualify for financial aid or loans and without a social security number I couldn't apply to any of the public schools-- not even CCP.
Fast forward to 2013, I'm now 27 and was recently approved for DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals). This allows me to live and work in this country without the threat of deportation. I still do not qualify for federal aid, but I am now able to apply for a loan ( with a consigner) and enroll at CCP.
I've been looking into Penn's LPS program and I'm certain that's the program I need to be in. Besides the obvious reasons anyone would want to attend Penn, I still have to work and I've always had various interests and I'm just in love with the interdisciplinary structure.
So my conundrum is this-- I'm pretty sure my only option would be to take out loans. Should I jump right into LPS ( I have no undergraduate credit anywhere) or should I get some semesters under my belt at CCP? If so are the credits easily transferable? Will I end up having to redo those credits once I transfer? What should I do? Please help, thanks in advance :)
