So... the whole process for international students seems complicated -- and Canada is not as 'international' as most countries, so I wanted to make a single thread for Canadian students. I'm hoping this will help me confirm my understanding of what's next and help others in the future. The contents of this thread probably won't differ much for other universities.

Before starting on this list, check your financial aid package if you applied for financial aid; you may still need to submit your 2010 tax forms to finalize the package. My offer was final because I sent in my 2010 taxes before March 1.

Obviously, there's a link to this on the Decision site.
[li]Pay the $400 deposit[/li]Acceptable forms of payment include direct deposit from a US banking institution (some Canadian banks, like RBC and TD, have US subsidiaries), cheque/money order in USD, and wire transfer.
[]Apply for I-20 immigration documentation
Canadians are fortunate in that we apparently do not have to apply for student visas, and can instead obtain F-1* student status at the point of entry (border or airport customs).
[ul]
[]Will need a valid passport (hopefully valid for the next 5 years)
[]Must have financial documents showing ability to pay all university costs (e.g. bank statements, financial aid letters) - may also be required at point of entry
[]Though I did not call the university to confirm, I was able to log on to iPenn with my Canadian SIN as my "university identification number"; the PIN was e-mailed in a reminder today.
[/ul]
An I-20 is not required to visit the campus (e.g. for preview days).
[li]Pay [SEVIS[/url] fee[/li][li]Apply for housing[/li]There's a link to this on the Decision site.
[li]Start the search for work-study jobs[/li]If a work-study job was part of the financial aid package, I've been told that the Student Employment Office will contact us to begin this process.
[/ol]
Footnotes:
* May vary by class year
* I don't think J-1 exchange student status doesn't make much sense -- there are strange limitations.

I'll wait for the package to arrive to confirm this list; so far, https://www.admissions.upenn.edu/decisions/forms/rdp/PennRDToDoList.pdf](http://www.ice.gov/sevis/i901/) is a useful reference.
