Dr. Karikó and Dr. Weismann were recognized for their foundational research that led to the mRNA vaccines.

I was just reacting to the post.
Dr. Weismann is Director of Vaccine Research and RNA Innovation at the Perelman School of Medicine at Penn and was there when he helped create the vaccine.
That said, there is plenty of credit and goodwill to go around to all of these two brilliant researcher’s affiliations (including Brandeis where Dr. Weissman went undergrad and BU where he earned a MD/PhD).
