Im considering applying to Penn State, and I have some questions about the student life. I visited during summer break, so there weren’t many students. How is student life? Is it a big party school? Does the school have the usual “College feel”? Is it a school where you can make many friends? Are freshmen allowed to have cars on campus? Do you often travel off of campus? Does the campus feel isolated? Thanks!

You don’t need a car on campus; you’ll be walking or taking the bus, and IIRC it costs an arm and a leg to park
Somewhat isolated but not overly; the campus js like a town unto itself, with tons of people and lots of events
