I am a freshman at Penn state University Park. In high school I had a 3.2 gpa (out of 4) and a 1420/1600 on my SATs. I was told by counselors that my SATs did not match with my gpa and made me look like an underachiever. I definitely did not work to my full potential in high school. I wanted to go to the best business school I could get into so I came here for Smeal (finance or management). While it is a great school, I know I can pull off a 3.7+ this semester (already have had several assessments in my classes) and feel that I could do well at a higher ranked university if I transferred after a year here. I also have been thinking about the honors college here. My question is, for job placement and overall success after graduation would it be more beneficial to stay here in Smeal and possibly do the Honors college or transfer to a better undergrad business program? and a better question would be are my stats good enough to transfer to a more prestigious program? Im thinking georgetown, nova, BC...I don't know if these are too much of reach with my HS grades
