so if i didn’t get an email by now, does it mean i am rejected?

i didn’t get a rejection letter or email either. should i call penn state and ask them about the status of my application or wait? how much longer should i wait before i call them?

I FINALLY got the coming days status for PSU, and I got the snail mail saying they were considering me for the program before winter break. Hopefully, I’ll find out if I got an interview soon!

what do you mean by “coming days status”

I check my Penn State profile and it says I’ve been accepted to the Eberly College of Science, but nothing about the Jefferson Med Program. Does this mean I got rejected for an interview?

For me, it said accepted to undergrad which also meant not accepted to BA/MD (got a letter saying rejected for BA/MD). So, one more rejection… (after Miami) and Brown deferred.

Looks like 2280, 35, 4.5/3.98, BBall team captain 3 years, lot of EC, ER volunteering 100hrs, shadowing and research on Atheltic injuries and treatment - all this is not enough… What else could I have done other than getting 2400???

lalooji,

Wow! What has this world come to? You seem to have stupendous qualifications. I can not believe that you did not get an interview. Did you fill in all of the extra boxes on the online application for PMM? Did you forget one of extra essays?

MrJohnSmith
I have to think I finished everything but I will verify again. (mainly for other places where I am still hoping - Rochester, GW, Rutgers, Drexel and a faint hope at Brown since they deferred and didnt reject)

I have always heard it is ultra competitive and assumed what I have is not enough. Few people who have got interviews (and posted in CC) from multiple places seem to be above 2300 SAT, so may be there is a cut off on SAT scores :-(

^^
But your ACT of 35=and SAT of 2300+. Also I think ferrodoxin with 2330 and 4.0 UW also did not get interviewed. This is turning out to be a real crap shoot.

@MrJohnSmith- yes, I had a 2330 and 4.0 UW/ 4.6 W, plus medical and non-medical EC’s :/

Clearly, it’s a very competitive program so congrats and best of luck to all those who got interviews :)
