I was accepted to both Penn State and University of Maryland, and can't decide which to go to. If anyone attends either school or knows anything about them, which would be the better option? Penn State also offered me a summer admission, which is not preferable.

Pennsylvania State University- University Park, though University of Maryland- College Park is within Washington D.C metro.

What are you planning on majoring in / what are some of your areas of interest? Both schools are comparable in weather, sports, campus, types of kids, etc. Did you get into any special programs? & Penn State – University Park?

Penn State = middle of nowhere.
UMD = a short ride from DC.

What are you majoring in, though? For certain majors I’d recommend for you to go to PSU.

Academically, I would opt for Maryland, but overall I would go with the best financial offer between the two.

well im majoring in psychology… ive heard maryland can be somewhat of a commuter school but im not sure if this is true i really like a big united campus, lots of sports, and good academics

Whichever is cheaper, for sure.

I go to PSU right now. If i could pick again, I would’ve chose UMD college park.
The area is just wayy to rural for me.

They are incredibly similar. College Park is a little smaller. The are around the campus is shady, but it has its own metro station into DC. I would say to go wherever the money is better.
