Im a NJ resident. I want to go to medical school. So I will be doing premed along with some major.
I have not received any scholarships and I wondering wether I should go to Penn State Upark or Rutgers NB. Penn state is ranked about 30 places above rutgers
I kind of slacked in highschool and got a 3.35 and a 1920. But in college I WILL work REALLY hard and try my best to achieve a high GPA. I want to go somewhere where i will be able to do well and learn alot.

For medical school, you want to avoid debt and save money because medical school is expensive. Rutgers is much more likely to be the financially sensible choice.

^I second this. What will matter is that you DO work very hard, go to class every day, hang out in the library 4 days a week at least, go to office hours, go to the writing or math center or tutoring center as soon as you get a B or below, meet with your adviser to review your progress right after midterms, etc… Get to know at least one professor (=> academic help, recommendations), and see if you can get a job on campus which you can then turn into experience to build your CV and get an internship.

I agree with the above. If you don’t follow MYOS’ recommendations you will probably be one of the many students who “intend” to go into Premed and never follow through.
