Penn/Wharton Grading

So in my interview, the person said that they grade on a bell curve, two standard deviations about the mean get an A-. This means only 5% get a A-, is this true?

That's a little exaggerated.

The curve in some of the core classes sucks. The worst one I've had is 20% A's, 40% B's and 40% C's, D's and F's.

I haven't encountered a class with 5% A-

No, that's not true, and in general any statement of the form "ALL CLASSES AT PENN/WHARTON GRADE ON [SOME STATISTICAL METHOD]" is false as well.
