is there a glitch or something like that? some course descriptions say that the course is open, but then when i get to the "Add Request" box it says I can't add it because it is closed. This has happened to me on two different occasions with two different classes...

bad timing, maybe? as in somebody snatched it up before you did…unless it’s like a huge lecture, in which case I have no idea.

i thought it was that at first too, until I kept on doing the process over and over for like 3 minutes and logging on/off and it still shows there. In fact, one of the classes is still doing that at this exact moment. Course says open, adding request tells me its closed.

Add it to a mock schedule and then import it.

intouch is doing this again. Does anyone else have this problem? It says open on the description but then won’t let me add it. 4 courses are doing this to me right now…

MEEEEE!!! A course that I wanted to add actually opened up late Friday night. But whenever I try to actually add it, it says it’s closed. It’s been like this for days?

Also, whenever current students say courses open up the week before and the first week of courses, does this generally hold true for writing seminars? To me, it would seem that most freshman fix their schedules as soon as they can whereas the upperclassmen would just wait (thus, writing seminars won’t really open up).

that happens b/c it takes time for the system to process someone else’s request and to show that someone else has, in fact, added the course already

what u say about writing seminars make sense. but don’t worry 2 much about it- better to take a writing seminar later when u know what the research papers are like

But over 2 days to process a request just doesn’t seem right…

i know right? the class I wanted has been doing that for basicallhy two days also.

anyone been experiencing this??
