I have been accepted to three colleges and since I didnt get my first choice I have to figure out where I am going.
I have been accepted to Penn State, Erie. The Behrend College. and into the Eberly College of Science on that campus.
After two years I will be able to transfer to Penn State, University Park.
I have been accepted to University of Delaware and major is Physics. (I live in Delaware)
I have also applied to Franklin & Marshall and PRETTY sure I will be accepted. I really like the “Feel” of an LAC, but F&M just seems to lack the options and physics “stuff”
MY DREAM, is to get a P.H.D in astrophysics. SO I plan on majoring in physics or possibly a dual major in physics/astronomy.
From what I can tell, going to Penn State will give me the best education and I will have more opportunities, as far as getting into thier graduate school and getting my phd. They have several telescopes on campus (both Behrend and University Park). Along with strong background in physics and astronomy.
University of Delaware has practically no background in astronomy (compared to the average school), and doesnt offer a astrophysics graduate degree.

This is a big decision and I just want some feedback… I have already sent in my money, etc for PennState, Erie. The Behrend College. Because they have limited housing… I got housing. But I still have the ability to withdrawl.
I think I am making the right decision.
SO, if you could give me some reassuring facts about the Penn Stats physics, astronomy, and astrophysics depts. I would appreciate it.
Also, would you suggest me having a DUAL majors? or major in physics and have a minor in astronomy?
Thank You,
Blake
