People who still haven't heard back

I know someone in Dallas that was rejected yesterday, but not moi. =/ What's going on here?

Maybe our acceptances are being hand-delivered by Pete Carroll.

I'm wondering now whether they have been or are re evaluating a group of apps. Maybe they are working on the numbers/possible yield etc. Maybe the intention was to mail decisions on those status acted upon dates, but that they've held back to determine if they could offer more spring admits/regular admits rather than rejections.
From what I saw in another thread, some of your stats are really pretty good.

Not mine. DX

^Nickel, 4uw, 4.68w is not good?!!

still nothing in norcal, with 3/29 acted on status.
I called admissions and they said everything was mailed on friday and saturday, and then i was like "i heard they were also mailed on monday?" and she's like "yea, they mailed some on monday as well." so i'm like ***... does she not know what she's talking about..? but i would have gotten the acceptance/rejection if it was sent on fri or sat, so i must be the monday wave. i'm hoping that it might be an acceptance, and thats why it's taking long (cause i small envelope would def. not take more than 2 days...) SHe said everything was sent regular, not priority, at this point. Anybody agree this could possibly be the case of hearing nothing in norcal!?

this may be a stupid question.. but why would an acceptance take longer than a rejection in the mail if they're both sent regular mail?

cause an acceptance is bigger

i still don't see why that would take longer...

yea i dunno why, it just does from like experience and stuff

hmm. that's weird though. if that's true, then maybe some acceptances will be showing up tomorrow in CA.

well how long does regular mail usually take?

2 for a small envelope and 3 for a big, unsually (from norcal to socal)

this is silly! my status has been "in review" since 3/13. haha. i've been saying "it has to be tomorrow" for the past two weeks.

whoa thats crazy. i hope it actually is tomorrow for both our sakes, and everybody else's who are still waiting!

i'm in socal too (about 30 minutes away from USC). was expecting mine on saturday, but haven't gotten anything in the mail yet as of today.

about 10 people at my school who had their decisions mailed on 28th got it on saturday, the 29th and the following monday (31st). as far as i know, they were all rejections.

i think theres still hope for the rest of us

maybe it's done alphabetically

yay! i hope you're rite. do you think that all the spring admits are done? cause that would basically be the same as a rejection for me..

I still have not heard and I live in SoCal about an hour away from USC... I know that many people at my school were rejected on Tuesday and one of my friends got a Spring Admit yesterday... So far my friend and myself still have not heard back, I am getting frustrated and losing hope...

And it is not by alphabetical order because I know somebody who was rejected witht he last name R and i have a P and did not get anything

My last name "B" friend has not heard yet my last name is toward the end of the alphabet... I don't think it's alphabetically.
