This is not a chance thread, I want to just know if I am being realistic by considering Pepperdine a safety.

First of all, I go to a competitive prep school in NJ, and I need to include a safety on an upper-tier-filled application that I wouldn't absolutely hate to attend. I have a lot of family on the west coast and I would love to go to school there, so I am applying to a number of California schools, including USC, Stanford, UCLA, and Berkeley. I figured that to play it safe i should put a safety on the list, and I settled on Pepperdine as a prospective safety. I have heard that a safety should be a near-lock for admissions, however, so I want to know if Pepperdine can accurately be considered a safety for me.

Here are my condensed stats:

2260 SAT (720 M/740 CR/ 800 W) retaking in October, I plan to study this time around

800 Physics
760 Bio M
750 Math 2
720 US History

3.75-3.8 UWGPA
3.9-4.0 WGPA

AP's:

Euro 5
US History 4
Physics B 5
Italian 4

Self Studied:

US Gov 4
English Lang 5
Human Geo 4
Bio 4

Some solid EC's

Is Pepperdine a realistic safety? I'm familiar with the school but not it's admissions, so I don't know if I can consider it "safe". My GPA might be a little low as well.
