<p>Okay, I put church of christ as my religion preference. However, I am no longer an active member of the church. I moved so my family no longer go to our old church. But I am still Christian and everything so I put that in my Common app. Now, they're asking me to give them church of christ recommendation and asking me to complete the AWP Scholarship which I don't want. I am so confused....I don't know what to do...Can I just not give them the requirements? I have completed everything else. I really didn't know about the religion thing. I just put what I personally believe in. What should i do?</p>
<p>The church recommendation is a Pepperdine requirement because they’re hardcore evangelical Christian (mandatory chapel/bible study, etc). They need to have that recommendation to see whether you’d fit in with their values.</p>
<p>Call your admissions representative at Pepperdine to see if you need the recommendation if you don’t want to apply for the AWP scholarship. Also consider if Pepperdine, a school with a strong Christian tradition, is the right place for you.</p>
