Is there more scholarships that will be given out?
Does the Facebook page happen to be closed? The only one I could find is the “Pepperdine University Class of 2020” with 221 members
@acause Congratulations! That’s so great! Quick question: Are you going to be taking out loans? Or have you received other scholarships?
@cindykim still waiting for the financial aid letter in case I get grants, but yeah I’ll be taking out loans
@chukrook I’m an international student so it came through email in 00:47 (GMT +2.00).
Thanks!
Anyone know if more scholarships will come out?
The you’ve been admitted emails said March 21-25, so let’s pray more merit scholarship monies are still be announced.
Financial aid is up on wavenet! I’m gonna be a wave!
George Pepperdine Achievement MERIT Scholarship of $14,000 annually for D. Received an email about 6pm PDT (California time) on Tuesday March 22. Just to clarify as there are always questions. This is strictly merit, nothing to do with need or financial aid. You have to keep up your GPA while at college, take a full-time load, etc.

Has need based aid been awarded? I received a $9000 scholarship but no need based aid. $60,000 is just way too much for my family. I’ll be pretty depressed if there isn’t any more financial aid to accompany this.
Yeah need based aid is on wavenet
Do you guys know if I should click “accept offer” for the grant money? Im not sure what to do
It’s says I received the Pepperdine Achievemebt award, $9,000. Is that yearly? It just shows Fall 2016 & 2017. I was hoping & needing for so much more. I’m so disappointed. Anyone know if this is a yearly scholarship or just a one time deal? Thanks!
@lynjobes how do you know if it’s yearly? Did yours say?
I got a grant for 17k. Is this need based?
No scholarships-- just loans. Oh well!
@json222 grants are needed based. @dtdbull20 normally scholarships are annual, but you have to meet requirements such as a minimum GPA and be a full-time student, however that is defined by a particular university. They would only put the “first year” (16-17) on the award for now as you may or may not meet requirements for the next year (hopefully you would!). My son has a merit scholarship at a different university, and they only post the amount on invoices or your “account” for the current school year (16-17 in this case). He has to keep a minimum GPA and at least 30 credits per school year. Look for details when you get it in the U.S. Mail.
